Mentor
Mentors are on the Mentorship Committee and report to the Director of Mentorship.
Mentors are musicians at the University of Illinois who visit a school once a week to provide lessons and mentorship. Our mentors keep us going, and they’re central to Arpeggia’s mission!
To ensure a safe learning environment for our kids, mentors must undergo an interview process and background check.
Program Committee
Program Advisors are on the Program Development Committee and report to the Director of Program Development.
Our Program Advisors provide mentors with the necessary support to succeed. Through developing curricula, keeping track of materials, advising, and ensuring that our mentors have everything they need, the Program Development Committee ensures that our mentors can do their job to the best of their ability.
Roles within this committee: Program Coordinator and Mentor engager
Outreach Committee
Outreach Advisors are on the Outreach Committee and report to the Director of Outreach.
While our Outreach Advisors don’t get to teach (unless they’re a mentor as well – and some are!), they get to make sure that Arpeggia stays running. Our Outreach Committee handles fundraising, community engagement, marketing, and communications, so you don’t need to be a musician to be an Arpeggia member!
Roles within this committee are: Social media director, social media coordinator, external director, and external events coordinator.
Business Committee
The role of the business committee is to focus on the financials of Arpeggia. This committee primarily focuses on two financial factors: revenue and grants.
It handles the backends of fundraising and internal/external projects by piecing together profit margins and implementing revenue creation opportunities.
The grant coordinators will handle writing and researching for potential grants and opportunities that Arpeggia can benefit from.
Role within this committee: Revenue Director, Revenue Coordinator, Grant Director, and Grant Coordinator
Community Committee
The community committee helps all the committees stay connected. As a communications coordinator you’ll be responsible for reaching out to other committees with information and upcoming events.
In addition to communicating within the organization you’ll also gain hands on experience with research and planning internal socials and general meetings
Roles within this committee: Communications director, Communications Coordinator, internal events director, and internal events coordinator
