Join Our Team

When you become a volunteer with Arpeggia, you get to connect with like-minded musicians, give back to your community, and gain valuable teaching and leadership experience.

Check our our different volunteer roles.

Mentor

Mentors are on the Mentorship Committee and report to the Director of Mentorship.

Mentors are musicians at the University of Illinois who visit a school once a week to provide lessons and mentorship. Our mentors keep us going, and they’re central to Arpeggia’s mission!

To ensure a safe learning environment for our kids, mentors must undergo an interview process and background check.

Program Advisor

Program Advisors are on the Program Development Committee and report to the Director of Program Development.

Our Program Advisors provide mentors with the necessary support to succeed. Through developing curricula, keeping track of materials, advising, and ensuring that our mentors have everything they need, the Program Development Committee ensures that our mentors can do their job to the best of their ability.

Outreach Advisor

Outreach Advisors are on the Outreach Committee and report to the VP of Community.

While our Outreach Advisors don’t get to teach (unless they’re a mentor as well – and some are!), they get to make sure that Arpeggia stays running. Our Outreach Committee handles fundraising, community engagement, marketing, and communications, so you don’t need to be a musician to be an Arpeggia member!

Business Advisor

Business Advisors are on the Business Committee and report to the VP of Finance.

While our Business Advisors don’t get to teach (unless they’re a mentor as well – and some are!), they get to make sure that Arpeggia stays running. Our Business Committee handles fundraising and grant writing, so you don’t need to be a musician to be an Arpeggia member!

Community Advisor

Community Advisors are on the Community Committee and report to the VP of Community.

While our Community Advisors don’t get to teach (unless they’re a mentor as well – and some are!), they get to make sure that Arpeggia stays running. Our Community Committee handles community engagement and communications, so you don’t need to be a musician to be an Arpeggia member!
